EBP Grants Equity Builder Grants supports residential lending by certain member institutions to households earning less than 80% of the area median income, as determined annually by HUD. Members enroll home buyers into the EBP program while helping them to obtain mortgage financing. To be eligible home buyers must complete a mandatory home-buyer counseling program through an approved counseling agency. Members may use grants up to $15,000 per eligible household, to provide a down payment, closing costs, rehab assistance, as well as matched-savings or Individual Development Accounts. Properties must be single-family owner occupied units that will be the primary residence of the buyer. This includes but is not limited to condos, town homes, single-family homes and mobile homes.
